I could not stop reading this book! SO GOOD!Michael has a family and working US Attorney General. He gets a letter saying it’s from a daughter he never knew he had. She is on death row. He remembers the affair with her mother so he knows this could be for real. He decides to go help her and wow the things that were uncovered during the first trial that were illegal were astounding. How could this have happened? I don’t want to give away any more but you will want to read this. This is my favorite by this author. But actually all of John Ellworths books are wonderful.

30 Days of Justis Michael Gresham Legal Thrillers Book 8 edition by John Ellsworth Mystery Thriller Suspense eBooks Reviews
I’ll start by saying I have read every one of Mr. Ellsworth’s books. I find them fascinating and usually read them in just a couple of days, as they are truly can’t put them down, page turners.
30 Days of Justis is one of the best yet. A woman on death row, on the other side of the country contacts him saying she is his daughter. A daughter he knew nothing about. She asked him for help, saying she had been railroaded. What happens in this book goes from heart rendering to scary and back again. The story is told as it happens and kept me so engrossed I frequently put aside other things that needed to be done just to keep reading. But that usually happens with Mr. Ellsworth’s books.
This book is for anyone who likes a tense legal thriller. Or anyone who wants to like, even love, the 2 major characters. And even the more minor ones.
It can be read as a stand alone book and you won’t get lost. But my suggestion is to read it, then go back to the first book in the “Michael Gresham” series and read them in order. Then go to the first “Thaddeus Murfee” book and read those in order. Especially as his next release is to be from that series.
Mr. Ellsworth has hit another out of the park home run with this book.
John Ellsworth has become one of my favorite authors.
This book did not disappoint. A lot of twists and turns it draws you in as you turn the first page.
Michael is a wiz in the courtroom but this case presents myriad challenges.
He is defending his daughter a daughter he never knew about who is now in her twenties. Catch's trial is nearing its conclusion when Michael is called in to help by the daughter he never knew about. Michael responds immediately and they bond quickly.
Michael discovers her trial lawyer is more concerned with his political aspirations than saving Cash. Cash has been sentenced to death and Michael has only 30 days to get Her acquitted.
By the way he also discovers he is a Grandfather of a four year old boy. Both bond immediately.
I don't want to diverge any more but this book will not disappoint. I couldn't put it down. I highly recommend.
In tears. That's how I finished this latest Michael Gresham novel. Lady Justice wears a blindfold everywhere but here. Almost. Corruption. Small town back room deals between attorneys, judges, medical staff. Why should any one care what happens to a death row inmate? Because this time, the defendant is Michael's daughter. A father is fighting for his daughter's life with every drop of blood against the corrupt system that refuses to hear the truth about his daughter and a judge. Michael has 30 days until the State of Washington executes his daughter. Yes, I am reminded it's a novel. My breathing is back to normal and my tears are dried. The beginning is a bit drawn out, but necessary. The momentum to the story line does pick up to the point where the reader doesn't want to stop reading. Don't forget to breathe while reading John Ellsworth latest legal novel. I LOVED IT!
John Ellsworth has created another riveting, page-turner. Michael Gresham has a daughter he never knew about, Cache Evans, until she ends up on death row in a Washington state prison after a questionable trial and conviction.
The prosecution's case is built on a suspected transfer of HIV from Cache, Michael's 28 year old lost daughter, to a scurrilous old lecher for whom she had served as a nanny. He has died from AIDS and Cache is accused of murder through intercourse with him, even though her first contacts with him were rapes as a 14 yr old minor, and it could be argued that he infected her. None of this is even brought out at the trial, mainly because her attorney is in cahoots with a crooked judge. Other evidence that would have clouded or turned her conviction around is suppressed and she is not even allowed to testify so none of the rape-of-a-minor evidence is ever heard by the jury.
The suspense that builds during the 30 days left to Cache before her scheduled execution, as Michael tries one legal maneuver after another to get her a new trial or to set aside her bogus conviction is, at times, a heavy load. It made me squirm in my chair right down to the final pages! To some degree, I anticipated the outcome but when it finally happened I was on the edge of my seat.
Throughout Michael Gresham once again fights the good fight to save an innocent victim, this time his daughter, whom he loves dearly. Throughout the book the details of his past with another woman and the coverup of the knowledge of this daughter weaves a troubling thread through the plot. Verona, his current wife, has to come to grips with another of his past assignations and this time, one that bore fruit.
This a great book, one of John Ellsworth's best. I recommend it highly.
Ellsworth has done it again, once I began reading I had to know what happened. Pins and needles until the end. Michael Gresham fights through the legal system like he has never fought before, although he is no stranger to the good ole boy mentality, this time it’s personal.
Readers will get hooked on the characters who become so real and familiar.
I love Michael Gresham, the attorney, the husband, and the father. Marcel is the best and Michael knows it. Verona is the glue that gets stronger in her love for Michael and their family. Cache is a lost soul who finds her dad and learns to trust and then works on finding herself. Leo is a sweet little boy who will put a smile on anyone’s face.
John Ellsworth, you really did out do yourself on this one. Can’t go wrong reading “30 Days Of Justis.”
